Question Wednesday: Why Join the Newsletter

Every week I answer a question from a reader or writer here on my blog. You can add a question to the queue by putting it in the comments on any blog. This week’s question is a general one I get:

Why should I join your newsletter?

There are several reasons why my newsletter is the place to be:

1. It’s the best place to know when I have a book out. Yes, you may be on my social media or visit my website, but it’s so easy to miss posts. Facebook is… awful. My fan page, like all other pages, often doesn’t show posts to all the people who subscribe (don’t get me started on that) and Twitter is so fast that you just can’t catch it all. So the newsletter is a great reminder the day a book comes out so you don’t miss anything.

2. When I go indie, there may not be pre-orders so you don’t want to miss a thing. Yup, you heard it here! I’m going to be going indie starting in 2015. This is so exciting because the prices for my books will be lower and there will be more of them every year. But we may not be doing pre-orders (we’re weighing our options at this point) which means if you miss an announcement, you may not just stumble upon a book. But if you’re on the newsletter, BAM! You will always know when a book is coming AND about the special pricing that will be for those of you who buy on Day 1.

3. You can win a $75 Amazon Gift Certificate or Kindle every month just by being a subscriber. Last but not least, I like rewarding my newsletter peeps. Every month I choose a winner from amongst the subscribers who gets their choice of a basic Kindle or a $75 Amazon gift certificate. All you have to do is be on the list. It’s easy!
